This is a good-news/bad-news situation. The bad news is that it’s not quite finished yet. The good news is that the novella has turned into a novel. I’m at the editing stage at the moment, making sure that the paragraphs all fit in the right order. I’m going to have this one released before 27th September (on that date last year I published Book 1: London). When before, I don’t know.
In other news, After The Evacuation, a series of 4 (there’s an error margin of plus or minus three with this estimate) is in development. It won’t feature Bill, Sholto, or Kim (much). Instead it’s going to focus on four characters who had cameos in the first three books. The story is set during the first three and a half years after the outbreak (or three years from the end of Book 3: Family). And it will be mostly set in the UK.
I did toy with the idea of focusing on what happened in the US, and most particularly, what happened to the last President, but I decided against it. The story is quite interesting and I may edit those parts up and you may see them published here on the website (maybe...)
