Whilst the journey's taken by Bill, NIlda et al follow real routes in our real world, all people, places and events portrayed in the books are fictional. (especially any zombies that bear a striking resemblance to members of my family. This was entirely coincidental, I swear). The shack that Donnie takes refuge in, in the Republic of Ireland (Book 3: Family) is, however, real, and I've been asked to point out that it's not really a shack, but a rather lovely bungalow with a great view of the mountains. (It just worked better for the story if it was a shack.)
